Martise's Book Club
The most thought-provoking, self-reflecting and actionable book I read in 2019. In 2020, I'm re-reading it and re-reading it again.
Magness' and Stulberg's simple concepts and science-backed stories make it impossible not to mentally reevaluate areas of your life where you can implement their peak performance formula.
This is a time when we all need to be better. And if YOU WANT TO BE BETTER at anything you are pursuing, I highly recommend that you read this book.

ABOUT MARTISE'S BOOK CLUB
School literature assignments--"Waaaah!," I'd whine. So reading for entertainment? Fuhgeddaboutit. It rarely happens outside of social media or a magazine article. I find movies, games, sports, chatting, eating, and pretty much everything else there is to do to be way more interesting than a novel. It just isn't my thing. Maybe it was my impaired eyesight as a child that conditioned me to save whatever reading stamina I had for educational purposes only. Or perhaps it was my propensity for reading books upside down (LOL) that dampened my desire for prose.
I love to learn. My desire for knowledge and mindset renewal is greater than ever. I'm still not a big fictional reader. I am hooked on nonfiction audiobooks and podcasts! For me, they are the holy grail of relatable narratives and amazing mentors.
While writing my next book, Go For It, Girl: How to Supercharge Your Sports Confidence to Win On & Off the Field (which will also be available in audio form), I want to share with you the books and podcasts that are inspiring me to seek growth, keep pushing, stay woke, and be unapologetically awesome. I call this space, Martise's Book Club. Let's grow, push, stay woke, and be unapologetically awesome together. Join the club on Instagram or Goodreads.
